Family of prostitute from south Brazil awarded 60k after fatal fall.

Let’s take for example the recent case of an unnamed 25-year-old prostitute from south Brazil. The sex worker fell from the window of the brothel she was working at whilst with a client in 2008, resulting in the loss of her limbs. She died twelve months later.

As grim a prospect as it is to think of, in the workplace. Despite most employers ensuring stringent health and safety measures are in place, the unthinkable is known to happen in virtually every workplace you can imagine.

The owners of Felina Prive, the club she was working in at the time, were recently ordered to pay the equivalent of £60,000 in compensation to her family. The judge ruled that she had “became dependent” after the fall. Her family had to provide 24/7 care for her in the aftermath of the incident, and were awarded the sum as a result of this.

Incidents like this go to prove that it’s possible to be fatally injured in virtually every occupation, regardless of health and safety protocols or even social standing.

Claiming for a fatal accident can often be an incredibly challenging thing to do. No amount of compensation can heal the heartache of losing a loved one, nor provide closure.

When deciding to make accident claims after a fatal accident, it’s important to choose a personal injury solicitor that can act with compassion in order to do the memory of your loved one some justice. PHC Law provides expert advice and work in a professional, compassionate manner, treating clients with sensitivity whilst providing them with impeccable advice that gets results. People are particularly vulnerable when they are grieving, and in some cases may not be in the strongest frame of mind to pursue a claim. PHC Law takes on the burden, fighting for what is right.

Of course, it goes without saying that as well as being emotionally unprepared to make a claim, many people also realise that they simply don’t have the finances to take things to a conclusion. It’s for precisely these reasons that PHC Law offers a no-win-no-fee agreement, in which cases are prepared before clients pay a penny. In most cases, PHC will provide such a compelling argument that the costs of legal fees can also be recovered with the compensation, allowing grieving relatives to concentrate on rebuilding their lives instead of worrying about paying legal fees.

When someone has died as a result of another person’s negligence, there’s simply no excuse, regardless of the circumstances. PHC Law understand precisely how difficult the shock of losing someone can be without having to concentrate on pursuing accident claims, which is why they do all the work for you.
